Yes VC, It becomes nonsense when you want an audit without its class objectives indeed. I do know one thing for a fact, I never called for GD bank account to be under scrutiny however I said evethough those that claimed to have given him the black bag left, the quick thing the party then in his defence said we can even avail our bank statements to prove that there was no money that came from the window. VC, by virtue of being myself and African and understand how even some white fellows do, when they get hold of an undercut, they will never go and put that money in the bank because they cannot explain its source, which will open money laundering innuendos. Therefore I do not need someone be it White or Black to teach me how these things are done. I grew up in Kasi where all this undercut are a daily business period.
I was one of the defenders of the GS, hence I said I think I must revisit my points because the issue was not that the money went to the bank, but whether it was delivered which no one except the GS and those that went to Cope were contesting each other views. If the revisit of the issue which was concluded in a manner that has some influence cannot be relooked then what are we doing in this world. It will assume that we must conform to the view that says Amen.... By the way VC, the lifestyle audit is a product of COSATU campaign, which we are not againts it as ANCYL, why do you find it difficult not to link lifestyle to class influence cde VC? Of all schollars here at least I expected you be the one that will say now we are putting our theory into practice. It is lifestyle that influence behaviours. It is lifestyle VC that makes the Esselen Street in Sunnyside busy with young people want to register for CC such that they can get a tender. It is lifestyle VC that makes our society unconscious of the working class hegemony that we need to instill in society. Yes Lifestyle audit is not NONESENE cde VC, its everything in our fight against accumulation, against neo-liberal tendencies and against tenderpreneur. I remain >>> Dominic Tweedie <[email protected]> 2010/02/22 02:30 PM >>> Yes indeed, the nonsense. People seem to have forgotten that Dr Blade Nzimande and Cde Zwelinzima Vavi have both been subjected to the indignity of "lifestyle audits", real ones, and not just media audits, thanks to the machinations of an individual now in COPE, who himself ducked the audit like a coward. So far as I know, these are the only two comrades to have been so treated, to date. In my opinion, the above is a very good reason to reject this "lifestyle audit" craze. It made no difference to Nndwamato and his ilk that Dr Nzimande let his banks statements be scrutinised because of the lying accusations of a traitor. Nndwamato and his ilk will only recycle the treachery and the lies, and they will go on doing so until Kingdom Come, no matter how many "lifestyle audits" there may be. This is class struggle, comrades. It should be conducted as such. VC Sibusiso Mimi wrote: Politics can be very, very cheap sometimes, it scares me... it's entertaining though! The peddlers of the black bag full of money nonsense have since joined COPE -- I'm wondering if Nndwamato and his ilk are not misplaced amongst us. Malema can fight his own battles; he doesn't need people disguised as comrades to go around insulting leaders of our movement. There's no excuse for dragging cdes Blade and Zweli's names into this. Both have been subject of the same probe, on many occasions by the media, and none threw tantrums and accused everyone of wanting to bring them down. I'm not expecting Ndwamato to understand but here there are matters of principle which can't go unchallenged. The leaders of the previous administration were chastised for misusing the State organs for their narrow political and economic gains -- do we then allow leaders of our movement to do the same? Is this the case here? We will only know after the audit of each individual. Does it really help to insult people? Mr. Mantashe is an elder, stop using his name carelessly -- you can only be a better ANC member if you can spell the word respect. Obviously, Nndwamato you have issues... it would only take a professional to help you with these... Nothing is above public discourse in the democratic South Africa and in the Alliance. If cdes wants to discuss a lifestyle audit, let them be. -- You are subscribed. This footer can help you. Please POST your comments to [email protected] or reply to this message.
