Re the TidBITS review -- Newburg says he's a long-time Eudora guy who
doesn't use Exchange, which means that unlike most of the reviews I've read
so far, his expectations for a mail client align closely with mine (I'm a
15-year Eudora-Win user until I switched to Mac two years ago and decided I
had to modernize). I'll likely be moving to Outlook 2011 as fast as I can
simply because Entourage's humungous, delicate database has given me the
creeps this whole time.

But Newburg has complaints that I'd like an answer to also. Are there
workarounds for the following behaviors (some of which are particularly dumb
in my opinion):

1) "Particularly jarring is the loss of quote control: Paste As Quotation,
and Increase / Decrease Quoting, are completely absent."

----Good grief. MS for Mac finally implements format=flowed, and then
doesn't allow for manually increasing/decreasing quote levels? What's the
point of that? Give me a break!

2) "When you accidentally Reply to a multi-recipient message, and realize
that you should have used Reply All, there's no option to change the reply's
recipients automatically."

----Another great Eudora feature.

3) "The Progress window no longer opens at launch, and there's no longer any
feedback in the main window, so discovering what's happening during a mail
fetch is tricky."

----And yet another.

Diane, you posted a workaround for the "reorder-by-group" procedure.

Are there workarounds for the above three lacunae?

Thanks...

Levanah

PS Oh, yes--as I recall, someone mentioned there's no easy way in Outlook
2011 to view the Internet headers or source of a message -- which is a
feature I just used to find out which email address I used to subscribe to
this list. Is there a workaround for that?
