ED, As I said before there is nothing 'wrong' with having concepts and I'll now extend that to goals.
I hold concepts and establish goals all the time. I believe however if you form attachments to concepts and goals you will eventually suffer. If you don't mind sufferring then that too is okay, I guess. I don't enjoy sufferring, especially since I've learned it is not necessary, so I try not to form attachments to my concepts and goals, but I do still form them - and do sometimes still form attachments to then and then eventually suffer. ...Bill! --- In [email protected], "ED" <seacrofter001@...> wrote: > > > > Bill, > > What is the objection to concepts, or to having goals? > > Thanks, ED > > > > --- In [email protected], "Bill!" <BillSmart@> wrote: > > > > ED, > > > > You are correct that 'happiness' can certainly be a sponteneous > feeling - as are all emotions, but when it is expressed as a goal it is > a concept. > > > ...Bill! > ------------------------------------ Current Book Discussion: any Zen book that you recently have read or are reading!
