Zendervish,

Your question didn't include me, but I will respond because I was the one who
wrote a response post on DT Suzuki's writings.

Most all the posts here are 'authentic' as far as being written by the actual
people posting them - unless they are just quotes of or links to other people's
writings. I try to discourage those kinds of posts unless they are in direct
support of (but not in lieu of)something the poster has asserted. I also have
no reason to doubt that DT Suzuki's writing were all 'authentic'. His books,
and I have read several, do not indicate they are translations. He evidently
did write them in English. They may have been subject to some editing, but I'm
sure he had final approval before publishing.

If you mean 'authentic' as in 'having authority',then I'll have to refer you to
one of my favorite lines in one of my favorite movies BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE
SUNDANCE KID. In one scene they were stopped by some bandits posing as police
and asked them to show them their credentials - their badges. The bandits
seemed confused for a moment until their leader pulled out his gun and pointed
it at them and said, "Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!"

...and that's the way the Zen Forum works too. You will be judged on the
content of your posts, and on that alone. You're not judged on your badges,
and all the badges in the world won't help you.

It's the same in zen practice.

...Bill!
