Salik,

That's the most interesting and illuminating tidbit -- a huge one! -- that I've
learned about Native religion (and I don't know much). I'll keep it in mind,
and be glad that I live in Arizona. Thank you!

I too have had the sense that some areas of land display that they partake of a
rare ethereal nourishment. These are areas I've spent long intensive times in,
practicing with teachers and sanghas. The radiance of the areas increased
day-by-day, as the scales dropped from our eyes. Other times, after such work,
I've found such areas elsewhere, easily, too, on my own, so I'm not sure, or
not convinced, that they become so by people practicing in them, or near them.
Or, maybe I just "stumbled" onto ancient ones that were practiced-in in past
times anciently. Or, which the Earth appoints by its own devices and nature,
whether we practice in them or not.

But I can also say that, at my best, the City of New York had as many wild and
ethereally-nourished areas as any spot in the Andes. In fact, all of the City
glowed, while all of its people frowned and swore: Finally I could see WHY,
Salik.

Hence, I practice; and teach a little if I can.
