There was a thread, here. Cushions. For the "sits-bones". And keeping the
spine erect so no muscles need fatigue during the hours' sitting. A thread you
used as... dental floss? Or mental floss?: nothing seems to have "stuck" in
your memory. ;-)
Remember the Kapok? The Buckwheat hulls? And the disappointing and
unadvisable "foam" that just goes flat? Chris encountered it.
If it's Earth, I'm relieved, but disappointed: Who wouldn't like to be among
the first to make first contact? Especially when the prospects had seemed so,
well... promising. ;-(
There is no dust in zen centers, but what you bring. You go there to work
together. Zen work is cleaning. And gardening. Windows. The shoe cabinet.
The dirt is stored outdoors, as practice. It's a lot like home, if you make it
that way. You are responsible. That's why ours is called a spiritual
tradition of practice. Some call it secular, but they just mean non-religious.
It's all about the Human spirit. Especially the dust.
