Merle,

A Zen teacher will "prescribe" a method that may suit you when you show up
there. And will change it for you as you change, and as your relationship with
the teacher changes!

Working with a teacher is a dynamic thing. Neither of you will be bored. ;-)

The one "constant" of practice is that it changes.

Even if we stay with just ONE practice, it changes. Sorry! ;-)

Don't get too comfortable with any one thing. It will change out from under
you. But, stick with it. Unless Teach' advises otherwise.

Comfort is not very important in our practice, as I like to say: but,
Relaxation IS. So whatever comes your way via a recommendation by a teacher,
relax, and throw all energy into it. It's just our way. Relax and sit with
it, and *it* only.

That's if you're working with a teacher, I mean.

You'll see.

Happy weekend!
