I tried that, but not the way you suggested. I deleted the device and added it back with its normal name into the /Ping class. Ping monitoring worked. I then moved it to /Server/Windows, where the default Zenoss Device template (using SNMP Informant to get CPU, memory, and paging graphs) is bound. It did not function, and when I ran zenperfsnmp in debug mode, it gave me the dreaded "error loading config" and "configured 1 of 0 devices" messages that are above. At that point, I put in the hosts entry and added the same device back into the device class with all the complicated templates bound, and it's working like a charm. But it will NOT work with its correct name. Something is horked up in the internals around that device name and deleting it does not clear it out. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://forums.zenoss.com/viewtopic.php?p=38930#38930 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
