For CIFS ZFS provides the Volume Shadow Service (Previous Versions in
Windows Explorer).

For (local) OpenSolaris clients the Nautilus file browser works "as if"
the snapshots were visible in each directory - click the little clock
icon that is between refresh and home. This only works locally though
not over NFS.
