there was another, much better series, in my opinion, that came out about 3-4 years ago sponsered by the rock and roll hall of fame, and experience music project, that had an episode dedicated to "the perfect beat"...it included hip-hop, techno, house, electro, kraftwerk etc...and interviews with, derrick may, frankie knuckles, run-dmc, beastie boys, de la soul, new order, africa bambaata etc...very informative in the general sense, definately not as centered on the modern electronic music scene as modulations is.
