Hello - I'm currently listening a lot to "I know Electrikboy" by Madkatt
Courtship - incredible album, incredible production, 90% of the tracks are
excellent singles on their own...

1) I seem to remember the guy is somehow Detroit-affiliated, is this true ?

wasn't Felix born or brought up in Detroit, or went to college there... or something like that?

anyways, def Detroit related is a remix Rob Hood did for him 4 or 5 years ago: M-Plant First Decision mix on the "Metropolis Present Day (The Remixes Part 1)" 12" on Radikal Fear. not strictly Detroit related, but there's also the Red-style Dave Clarke remixes of "In The Dark We Live (Thee Lite)".

2) any recommandations in the same vein ?

as far as that heavy wild pitch(ish) sound goes, my favorite Felix track is probably "B 4 Wuz Then" which was released on the "Metropolis Present Day" album and also on one of the associated remix 12"s.

you could also check some of the output from DJ Duke's Power Music stable - esp Roy Davis Jnr "Heartattack Man", Nate Williams "Club Patrol" and "Light Speed".

last but not least there's also numerous DJ Pierre tracks from that era - "Atom Bomb", "Generate Power", "Project Blast". and to bring us neatly back to everyone's favorite subject Pierre did remixes of Mill's "Berlin"/"Late Night" on Pow Wow!

cheers
