im not bothered if a tune is only a few months old but when people bootleg
old stuff it really upsets me, esp considering its happened on records that
i have spent 5 years looking for

Two things:

1. I don't think that someone is "asking for it" if they overprice
their releases. Obviously vinyl is hugely important, but it's not our
right to be able to buy records at the price we want. That's a
justification for theft - which is what bootlegging is. I should note
that I'm only trying to outline what I see as the principal, I've
bought bootlegs in my time.
