my guess is that the jobs they supply to the residents, and of course the payroll taxes taken from those wages paid to them, are what they consider "giving back to the city". this is similar to the kinds of nonsense that corporations get from incorporating in those little island countries in the caribbean despite doing all their business in the US. they pay hundreds of millions less per year in taxes. wack. tom
