but what if you want to change it? or what if something starts going
wrong and you need to fix it? spending time dorking around on a
computer as opposed to changing your tuning or plugging in a new
guitar are far different processes.




Ever blown an amp? How much experience do you have with 'real' instruments going funky or things frying in midstream performance? One thing wrong with an amp can stop the show just as easily as a cooked processor. I have plenty of experience with having to change drum heads, etc. - and while it may be technically easier to do so (provided one knows how - and that is not a given, if we are leveling the analogical playing field at all), it takes way too much time and stops things just the same.
