Is that like buying Chain Reaction Records in Europe? Pressed in Detroit, by German artists. I know of a few people from London who press their records here, in order to make people believe its an American release. About the New York "scene": Proper hasn't made a peep lately, but folks here are busy trying to make people go out to see Techno again. The most active being the Foundation crew, and my own efforts. There is plenty of interesting music coming from Environ Records, Rapture (Selway and Abe Duque's new label), Intrinsic Design Records, Spelunk Records, and Parallel Recordings.
