I thought it was clear, but it apparently bears repeating, especially
for people subbed to 313 with GMAIL:  The 313 list only accepts plain
text messages.

If you don't know what 'plain text' is, it means no bold, underlined,
or colorful text.  In GMail to make sure you're sending plain text,
look right above the box into which you type your timeless pearls of
wisdom.  If you see a bunch of formatting buttons (for bold,
underline, etc) then click where it says "<< Plain Text."

If you want to fancify your emails to e-mail addresses besides
313@hyperreal.org, click where it says "Rich formatting >>"

Note that sometimes GMail turns on rich formatting when you reply to a
post to 313, so you have to make sure you're in plain text mode before
you send.
