I actually like seattle that time of year anyway. Is seattle a one-hop place from Europe? I am sure it is from the important spots on the pacific rim ... this is an interesting suggestion! I do know that there are many surprisingly cheap one-hop flights from paris, frankfurt, etc. to san francisco. ron
