I personally think, one should not offer them any. It is usual that they are trained, and therefore it is part of their duty lower level staff expect, however, it is also that duty. This is more to do, that British introduced this concept in most countries. I travel a lot here in Europe, as well as once to India every year, and staff everywhere is well-trained to assist us.
