Hi Srini

usefully for wheel chair users

visually impaired on the railway track.
* Tactile markings on the platform should lead from compartment for
disabled to bridges, escalators, wash-rooms and exits.
* Inside the train, in addition to the station announcement, it should
announce the direction of the platform, give a steady tone when it is on the
platform and make a rising tone when the train is about to start.
* Display of Train information and announcements should be prominently
displayed so as to enable hearing impaired to get access.
* Auditory and Visual announcement of upcoming stations in the train
* There should be a separate help-desk for the disabled on all stations
for providing assistance to the disabled including wheel chair and escort to
the blind. There should be a centralized toll free telephone number which would
also be coordinating with these help-desks.
* Lift to be accessible for all including wheelchair users to use the
cross over bridges and move to platforms
* Automated ticket facility should be accessible to all kinds of PWD

* All waiting rooms, cafeterias, night stay accommodation and other
facilities provided at the station must be accessible to wheelchair users swell.
* have a boarding device such as a portable ramp or a hydraulic lift
