The purpose of CAPTCHA can better be understood by the persons who are working in IT field. I am studying in IT and can say it is essential to implement CAPTCHA on certain websites. I completely agree that the visually challenged persons find it difficult to solve CAPTCHA due to the negligence of site developer as they do not consider such aspects. But this issue can easily be overcome by educating them about other alternatives for CAPTCHA implementation.
