I have considered the My documents folder but heres the problem. Lots of
staff have laptops with lots of files and huge files at that in the My
documents folder. The choices are copy exsisting My documents folder
contents to the share or not to do that. Neither really seem like the best
solution for me, because if staff lost what was in their folders I just
became bad guy of the year!

I just want a folder created on the desktop so I do not have to train them
to go in My Computer and save in the S:\ Volume if there is a folder that
says, SAVE HERE! They will understand.

Have you considered just re-directing the "My Documents" folder to a network
share? You could filter the GPO based on user group membership. If you
wanted it going to different servers. The user would be able to access it
no matter what computer they logged into.

Subject: [ActiveDir] Desktop folder

I have a network folder created for staff members that is called "Backup" I
want to have this folder mounted as a folder on the desktop of the computer
they logon to. Staff members use multiple computers, not always the same
one. How/Where do I create a GP to place a folder on the desktop that is
redirected to that network share?
