Thank you to all that replied. I did decided to stick with the CRT; however,
the selection is very slim. I narrowed my choices (of what I could buy
locally) to a KDS, Samsung, or Viewsonic 19" monitors. I bought the Viewsonic
A91f+ from BestBuy yesterday. However, I can't get the refresh rate set to
virtually get rid of the "flicker". I am very sensitive to the flicker on
monitors - my husband doesn't notice it, but I really notice the eye strain
after a very short time. My previous monitor was a Dell Trinitron 21" and I
could sit for hours in front of it and never had any trouble.
Any suggestions? What's a good CRT that has little flicker or do I shell out
the big bucks and get one of the newer LCD 19" w/1600x1200 resolution? My
projects are getting behind schedule so I have to find a good monitor soon.
