If you're after high resolution and high refresh rate CRT, I recommend Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2070SB or NEC FP2141SB, if you can still find them: http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/ProductDetail.cfm?Product=232 <http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/ProductDetail.cfm?Product=232&ClassificationFamily=1&Classification=1> &ClassificationFamily=1&Classification=1 http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/ProductDetail.cfm?Product=254 <http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/ProductDetail.cfm?Product=254&ClassificationFamily=1&Classification=1> &ClassificationFamily=1&Classification=1 http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/ProductDetail.cfm?Product=230 <http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/ProductDetail.cfm?Product=230&ClassificationFamily=1&Classification=1> &ClassificationFamily=1&Classification=1 http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/ProductDetail.cfm?Product=253 <http://www.necmitsubishi.com/products/ProductDetail.cfm?Product=253&ClassificationFamily=1&Classification=1> &ClassificationFamily=1&Classification=1 They are both 22" CRT monitors and have a highest resolution of [EMAIL PROTECTED] You shouldn't see any flicker once you go above 75Hz. Another option could be Viewsonic P225F - also 22", but [EMAIL PROTECTED]: http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktopdisplays/crtmonitors/proseries/p225f/ http://www.viewsonic.com/products/desktopdisplays/crtmonitors/proseries/p225fb/ If you're after LCD, the new DELL UltraSharp 2405FPW seems good value for the money (1920x1200): http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?TabPage=techspecs <http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?TabPage=techspecs&sku=320-4221&spagenum=&category_id=6198&brandid=&k=&c=us&l= en&cs=19&mnf=&prst=&prEnd=&mnfsku=&orderby=&searchtype=&pageb4search=&page=productlisting.aspx&instock=&refurbished> &sku=320-4221&spagenum=&category_id=6198&brandid=&k=&c=us&l=en&cs=19&mnf=&prst=&prEnd=&mnfsku=&orderby=&searchtype=&pageb4search=&pa ge=productlisting.aspx&instock=&refurbished= Until recently (a few months ago), I wouldn't have considered buying an LCD computer monitor. I want as many pixels as I can get and at a refresh rate of over 75Hz. The LCD monitors were limited to 1280x1024 (regardless of the size of the screen) or the price was absolutely prohibitive. With the new high-res wide-screen LCDs, especially the reasonably priced 24" DELL, I must admit I'm really tempted... Good luck and let us know.

I did decided to stick with the CRT; however, the selection is very slim. I narrowed my choices (of what I could buy locally) to a KDS, Samsung, or Viewsonic 19" monitors. I bought the Viewsonic A91f+ from BestBuy yesterday. However, I can't get the refresh rate set to virtually get rid of the "flicker". I am very sensitive to the flicker on monitors - my husband doesn't notice it, but I really notice the eye strain after a very short time. My previous monitor was a Dell Trinitron 21" and I could sit for hours in front of it and never had any trouble. Any suggestions? What's a good CRT that has little flicker or do I shell out the big bucks and get one of the newer LCD 19" w/1600x1200 resolution? My projects are getting behind schedule so I have to find a good monitor soon. Thanks so much for any help you can give me.
