Thanks for the advice Richard. Your assumption is correct. Premiere
Elements projects are filed as .prel which are not recognized by Pro.
I even tried copying & pasting the timeline from Elements to Pro but
the clipboard would not carry from one to the other.
However, thanks to Glen, he stated the obvious. Why is it sometimes we
don't see the wood for the trees. I exported the movie to .avi and
then imported the .avi into Pro, which worked perfectly. But this
leads me to one last question. There is an obvious reduction in
quality using .avi as the go between. Would it be better, albeit not
as quick, to export the Elements movie to tape, and them import the
tape into Pro?
