I just did a job with my Sony Z1U. They had a V1U on the job but
couldn't use it because they needed to shoot Pal (50i). If I recall,
the Sony V1U didn't have a S-video out on it either. I could be wrong
however.

That's funny. I've done the lighting for American Idol for two seasons
and one season of "The Next Great American Band" which is an American
idol production. Can't remember what cameras they used. I think it was
a Sony DigiBeta on The Next Great American Band.
