Nice to hear from you again.
Right now my GPS in the camera is also turned off but when I travel
through remote areas here in Africa it comes in
very handy to know where the shots were taken.
The Sony Content Management Utility incorporates a nice indexing
system similar to Adobe Bridge. It is automatically
updated when copying the files to the computer.
I do not trust DVDs for backing up footage, have a number that don't
work anymore.
I back up on an additional external HDD. The chance that two drives pack
up at the same time is very remote.
