I contacted Tascam Sales Support on the issue of charging the lithium Battery.
This is the reply I received. " The DR-100 comes with a USB cable that is used to connect to a computer which will charge the battery. If you want a power supply to power the unit and charge the battery you will want to get the PS-P520, which can be viewed and purchased from: http://tascam.com/store/ps-p520/ " Charging the battery using a USB cable to a computer is new to me.
