Got a Tascam Dr1, I use a USB charger, pretty common, can buy them fro any.mobile accessory vendor for like 5 bucks, been charging mine for a couple years with no problems the recorder works. great

Some devices use a USB cable with a parallel connected second plug (just the power wires) to get extra current. If the device needs more than 5 volts then it has to use a separate power supply. It might be possible to connect the second plug in series to get 10 volts but I doubt that would be a good idea, might cause damage to the computer's USB power circuitry. ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
