His portentous phrase above is vacuous. No one worth mentioning would ever use the phrase "people get the fates they deserve." Does he mean ALL people? I can't think of anyone who would agree with that. Does he mean SOME people? I can't think of anyone who would DISagree with that. Just as useless is his inscrutable phrase, "properly appreciate the human realities".
