We expected to be treated fairly as workers, and showed our gratitude with loyalty to those who employed us. We understood that it was our employees that helped make our business a success, not just our management team. We understood that taxes were used for the common good, and provided our nation with the grease that allowed our economic system to run smoothly. And in our hearts, we knew that if our country needed us to sacrifice a little more, we would do what was necessary, just as wed done before. That was part of being a good citizen and a patriot.
