If we skip the SS, Would grounding the shielded cat5 de needed? I would never use any kind of surge suppressor on a Netonix product that is making POE. It is the POE that blows. But that is why I made the POE fuse products. We sell a small quantity each month. Zero feedback as to whether they are doing the job. We have had people claim the fuse was defective when in fact they blew it. It is not a circuit breaker nor is it a poly fuse. It is an old fashioned one time use fuse for each of the 4 circuits on an ethernet cable. From: Gino A. And they will fix blown ports for $20. I am surprised they have not adopted Forrest’s method of avoiding this issue. Knock on wood it’s been a rock solid solution. But if you are using the netonix you need both the fuse card and grounding card from mcowentech. -Sean On Thu, Sep 26, 2019 at 8:45 AM Gino A. I do know that we are possibly causing them because we are using McCowns SS with Netonix switches. So our long term plant is to fuse them, but in the meantime, should we connect the radios directly to the Netonix switches? Should we ground the shielded cable shield or would the grounding of the radio would suffice? Gino Villarini Founder/President @gvillarini t: 787.273.4143 Ext. 204 m: [Image removed by sender.
