If you want to put stateful behavior in front of each customer's site, I have no problem with you implementing that on your network. Please don't presume that such an answer is the "correct" way for me to implement my network. I want to serve those people that have legitimate need for unfettered two way communication as well as those (the vast majority) that are happy with proxy Internet access. There is also the need for unique identification of endpoints for troubleshooting, lawful intercept, etc. I'd rather deal with IPv4/6 addresses rather than tracking time/IP address/port.
