FWIW, I mostly know Warren Zevon from the song Poor Poor Pitiful Me, which I first heard via the Linda Ronstadt and Terri Clark covers. I’ve heard Terri Clark sing it in concert. Of course the girls change the lyrics to oh these boys won’t let me be. Only after hearing those versions did I look into Warren Zevon.
I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead is probably the best song title ever. And they still play Werewolves of London on the radio. I hope he gets a penny every time they play it.
