Hi Nate, You can go to the AP to which the SM is currently registered and select Monitor -> Wireless. In the list of registered SMs will be your SM. You select “Deregister” and the SM will search for an AP again.
Preferred AP is used when the SM is doing network entry. The SM scans and identifies all APs that it sees. Then the SM uses the Preferred AP upon the APs found during scanning.
