There is no Utopia and even Utopia was not Utopian.... What are Trump and others really saying when they want America to be great again and go back to the good old days? Great for whom and when were those good all days? With my Mexican and Native American roots I have a different perspective of how great the past was. I am sure the African Americans and Jews in US do as well and now the new scapegoat, the Muslims. No matter how hard they try, the mixture of cultures and ideas are going to grow and flourish. Study history (but don't use a Texas Board of Education approved book where slaves are called guests workers and all negative things done by Anglos of the time to Blacks, Mexicans and Native Americans are sanitized ...) and you will see the truth. The Romans tried it, the Han's tried it, the Nazi's ttried it ..the Russians tried it....the early white settlers tried it....ISIL is trying it...many cultures affected by hate and ugly rhetoric ...people will fight back...survival is build in to our DNA....so as Trump and his craven lackeys push, they will face folks willing to push back and harder. Now for Rory's education, the USA DID NOT enter WWII because of Nazi Germany's invasion of Poland in 1939 but after Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor in 1941. Thousands died in Europe before we went in...that is history. I do not revise it.... Martin Luther King and Cesar Chavez followed Ghandi's non-violence way....yet many of their events ended up in violence due to attacks. Yes many fought back, I guess like me many are not very Jesus like and turn their cheeks when slapped.
