'ey, I want to review my own feeble AGI effort in order to gripe about the things I'm stuck on.
1. I am not wasting any time on programming languages. Forth, and all other languages with extremely short interpreters are useful for understanding the zen of computing. At the end of the day, just use whatever language you go to first for stuff... It really doesn't matter at this stage. 2. What I do desperately need, as of ten years ago, is a closed feedback loop with either an actual high-capability android or a sufficiently complex virtual world environment that supports creativity, complex interractions, etc to the point where the AGI can be raised there. I've been trying to get people interested enough to help with this, but WTF? This frustrates the hell out of me because I'm dead in the water in terms of employment/income and I'm just not good enough a programmer to close the gap on writing a full virtual embodyment simulator. I would have to learn a game engine, design a game, write the game... oops that's several dozen man years already....... =\ Existing commercial games such as Skyrim are fundamentally broken in a number of respects and cannot be used for AGI purposes. Actually, the driver for my video card basically HCF's for any non-trivial game these days. =( So yeah, I wish u ppl would help out for once... Every sane AGI project needs a solution for raising the AGI in an environment that will provide enough opportunities for learning and developing symbol grounding. -- IQ is a measure of how stupid you feel.
