Well - every few seconds. That shortcut meanwhile is hard-wired somewhere in my
brain, and as soon as I end typing a chunk of text, I use it. Anyway.

I agree here. I'd vote for leaving the current behaviour unchanged, and adding a
"Force Save". OOo packagers and OOo installation administrators are then free to
configure the default they find most appropriate for their user base.

Sure. Probably no single group of users in one of our lists is. Which shouldn't
stop us from asking them, as you said. Also, my hope was that in [EMAIL
