Pah.  Drat.  Page one of the website:

However, you need to note that you have to download the latest drivers and
then in the alsa-driver directory you need to copy Documentation to
linux/Documentation/sound and include into linux/include/sound, everything
else into linux/sound

As an aside, I haven't really checked the website for a good 6 months plus,
but looking back recently it has really moved in.  It's really quite
impressive and comprehensive these days!  Congratulations, and apologies for
failing to read it...
