Hello, Iain!,

->IS You've missed my point, what i meant was, its none of your business
->IS *who* ppl are talking to, i didn't suggest that u wanted to see what
->IS was actually being said. Who ppl talk to, and whether you know about it
->IS is a matter for the person in question to decide.

I agree totally with you on this matter, but I also understand Stephens
problem. Maybe a compromise suggestion of being able to see if a person is
chatting only with *you* or with others too might work?

No details of course. Just a number denoting how many DCC chats are ongoing
for that user.

Of course, for Stephen, that wouldn't really be a great help, as his girl
could be chatting to her mother and not another guy :-)

But hey, if he needs to be sure she's only talking to him, then IRC isn't
the way to chat her up really, is it? ;-)

I'm not bothered about that function anyway. I feel AmIRC is getting a
little top heavy with features now.

Cheerie Bye Iain,
                    Ann L Goonan
