You're email program obviously has a problem with quoting..
It seems to have removed the quoting initials and replaced them with new
ones (ie mine). Just so you can see the message I've attached a copy below.

This is as much an invasion of privacy as reading their messages. If the
person wants you to know that they are chatting to someone else or even
that they are chatting it is up to them to tell you. If you really want to
know ask them! Or are you worried that if you ask them you would appear in
their eyes to be stalking them? Because this is basically what you would be
doing.
