Well, sending by email is hardly a lot slower, for a start...
What other options you have, depend on what you have available to you... Most people
have free webspace, so you could upload it to there for instance.
How often are you saying you need to transfer .DOC files?
The point is that the benefits of the server's restriction far outweigh the
disadvantages... Even *if* you weren't able to get /dccallow to work, you could LhA or
ZIP the file, or even just rename it.
