Regarding your quote: "Products: Software, content and digital

This phrase does NOT say that *all content* is product. It says that
content *created for devices in accordance with blah blah blah* is
product.

Data is data. As long as the distribution of the data isn't
*restricted* to *only* android devices THROUGH android market, then
you can do as you like. Sell your media to desktop users too.

DON'T make you media in accordance with the android SDK, make it in
accordance with your app, or even better, make it in accordance with
STANDARDS, i.e. text files or whatever are not defined by the SDK.
DON'T distribute your media via the market, distribute it via YOUR WEB
SITE to which you connect the app.
DO make your application complete, add a couple of free samples that
people can use for free, or make it possible for users to use your app
for THEIR OWN media in addition to just yours.
