Here's the release plan from Koen in regards to the limited flash size
issue:
(05:33:48 AM) koen|edinburgh: for now (for devices with keyboard):
install altboot, boot from sd/cf/nfs
(05:34:18 AM) koen|edinburgh: for later: seperate 'releases' (kernels)
for root-on-{sd,cf,nfs}
(05:34:26 AM) koen|edinburgh: in the long run: unionfs
