Well, (as the memory improved) I remembered where I put the SCSI 
terminator - it's on the other drive that's hooked up to my PowerMac 
9500(!). So I'll snitch it off there to check and make sure if things 
work at this point. If so, I just need to go buy another SCSI 
terminator or maybe back up all my stuff on the external drives of the 
PM9500 and sell them off (and just use the terminator on the IIgs 
drive).

Probably be later in the week before I check it out, but I'll post 
results back to the list once I do. Thanks to Howard, JaY and everyone 
else who chipped in on this one. I just may have this thing up and 
working before the end of the month! :-)
