Hello Kali,
We lost our last dump a few years ago. There are only a few places in
Vermont where trash is actually laid to rest. The former dumps are now
"transfer stations" where rubbish is (theoretically) sorted and sent
off.
Trash picking has always been a local habit, when it was banned here, we
ignored it. So, rather quickly, a solution was found: a yellow slip of
paper releasing everyone from any responsibility for our activities. We
sign it, and *maybe* pay a few dollars for what we take. Bits and pieces
are free, so I rip tubes, electrolytics, and phono cartridges, but leave
the bulk <g> I can't recall ever seeing a comp on the pile, though.

<OT> RE: My CMOS clock--
It seems to have lost about 2 mins in the last 3 1/2 hrs. I don't need
Arachne's clock, can I disable it? Or maybe just remove the timestamp
from e-mails?
