The modem is properly configured, the com-port is not ;-)
And if I want to check if the modem that I think is on com1 works one
should add that line with "mode..." first since it's a fairly simple change.

BTW: The first thing I remove from an Autoexec.Bat that I edit are the
"mode" lines since this should be applied when needed (if that ever
happens) IMHO.
