Conrad, You are getting this error at the time when arplugin is initiating. Its indicating that it is looking for a symbol VerifyClassForMajorVersion and says this cannot be found in the file libjava.so located at /usr/jdk/instances/jdk1.5.0/jre/lib/sparc/.
This could mean that this version of java is incompatible with the version of arplugin you are running. Please check the compatibility matrix and verify that you are running the correct version of java. If you run ldd -d on arplugin, it will give you a list of all the shared object dependencies or symbols that are not found for the application.
