Conrad, What is the status of your services? Have they started? What does your arerror.log file say after your services have been started? Any errors at all?
Again like I said the Admin tool does not connect to the database, but its failing to connect to the AR System server. Which server are you trying to connect the Admin tool to? The AR Server? Or the database server? Do not try to connect it to the database server. The Admin tool is not a database client so will not have any service to connect itself to if you are trying to resolve the database server while attempting to connect the Admin tool. Enter the hostname of the AR Server as the server name in the Accounts information in order to connect the Admin tool to the AR Server. Make sure you can ping the hostname of the AR Server from the client PC where your Admin tool is loaded. If you cannot ping, you do not have a DNS entry of the AR Server name in the DNS tables, so resolve that issue with your network admins first. Hope this helps.. Cheers..
