I also spoke to someone who witnessed something very similar at another
very large company whose name you would all know.  They were basically
given hardware and software by HP, and a few years later, all that "free"
stuff has cost them plenty, and they are still using the Remedy systems HP
was supposed to replace, were it only to actually be usable.
