Dan I agree with you, however if municipalities didn't draw first blood for over a decade the religious institutions would not have had any success when we lobbied the summer of 2000 for the Religious Land Use act. (RLUIPA 2000)
Than there is that one sacred question; how do we interpret "no laws shall be abled to hinder the free excersise of religious activities. I am all for making sure the facility is safe for the public, the contest here is "do you allow" even those that are safe to the public. The Uniform commercial code has not been around as long as the major laws. Code is arbitrary, capricious and abused in many communities. Code enforcement officials are almost always political appointees.
